Uses
- Used to create a wall socket from which it is possible distribute CAT5 cable for:
- Broadband from a router
- Local Area Network (LAN) to connect PCs, printers etc on a single network
Advantages
- Comes a complete kit – it is possible to buy these units separately as faceplate & Keystone, but this is a simpler and cheaper way to buy them
- Works extremely well
- It is relatively straight forward to install
- Neat and compact and will fit into an existing faceplate
Disadvantages
- There are 2 outlets which sometimes may not both be needed
- More expensive than a single outlet faceplate
